As Mae studies the book of Job, she is reminded of an individual who rejoices in the suffering of others. Yes, you heard right. This individual is quick to say that an individual (she may have had a past beef with) suffering happened because they wronged her. I have even heard her say that a person, she hadn’t seen in 20 plus years, died because they wronged her. Mae is not exaggerating. Mae’s flesh want to go off on her because, believe it or not, this person is a believer. Mae can’t change this person, only God can. So Mae keeps her distance but prays for this person . May you know that like Job, there will be suffering and we as believers should not rejoice. Because even in our suffering, God is in control.
