Greetings. Webster defines hypocrite as a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion. Mae had a conversation with a hypocrite last weekend. The back story: some years ago when Mae was single and still saved, she went out with the individual, who she didn’t have any type of feelings for. No Mae doesn’t think she’s all that. Fast forward: this same individual, who was single at the time, eventually remarried his 1st wife and had been contacting Mae to have lunch/dinner with him, which Mae declined. Well, he had the nerve to contact Mae last weekend to share his (new) extreme religious views. He is now following a religious extremist. He debated scripture with Mae, trying to impose his beliefs on Mae. Mae is a work in progress and didn’t back down. He also talked about his feelings for Mae, while criticizing males who are or have been involved in affairs. Wrong is wrong. He doesn’t see himself: a married man, confessing his feelings and wanting to take Mae out, without his wife knowing. Well that’s why Mae refers to him as a hypocrite. May individuals realize that putting on a false appearance of virtue or religion is definitely the definition of a hypocrite. One thing for sure, after the conversation last week, the hypocrite will not be in touch with Mae anymore…
