Hello. Okay, I am aware that Mother’s day has passed. I was supposed to blog but the thing called distractions got in the way. Although this Mother’s day message is late, it may just be in the plan–not Mae’s. Yesterday, Mae received a Mother’s day message that said, “great mothers are great everyday, not just on Mother’s day.” That statement was not only profound but true. It is not easy being a mother. Mae applauds mothers and those acting in a mother’s capacity because motherhood requires sacrifices AND WE DO NOT ALWAYS GET IT RIGHT. Mae often thinks of her late mother, grandmothers, aunts and older cousins who made sacrifices for Mae and Mae wants to say, THANK YOU. They didn’t always get it right but they get an “A” for effort. To all mothers and those acting in a mother’s capacity, you may not get it right but you get an “A” for effort and Mae applauds you. May you remember, one day does not make you great, you are great everyday. Happy belated Mother’s day.
