Happy Valentine’s day. Okay, I am aware it is over. I tried to have this posted before 12 AM, but fell short. Valentine’s day represents different emotions to different people. To some, it does not represent love. For those who may have lost a loved one, it may represent “sadness.” To those who feel isolated, it may represent “loneliness. To those who have had someone to blatantly walk out of their life, the emotion may be “bitterness.” Mae has experienced all of the above emotions. However, Mae takes comfort in the lyrics of a popular song (MAE IS NOT ENDORSING ANY SONG NOR DOES SHE OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE SONG). The lyrics state, “He’s the God who stays.” God is present, even on Valentine’s day. As the song says, “When the whole world walks away, he’s the God who stays.” Mae is going to take it further, even in sadness and lonliness, He stays. Do not feel that you are not loved and do not dread Valentine’s day. You are loved by the greatest. Don’t believe me? Meditate on John 3:16. ” For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Now that is love. Also meditate on 1 John 4:8 (there are many other scriptures; Mae only named a few). “Anyone who does not love, does not know God because God is love.” May you find comfort in the scriptures. Mae loves you (and is a bit long winded in this early morning hour), but God loves you more, even on Valentine’s day. Happy belated Valentine’s day.
