Mae has to share. Mae, so often tells her adult Christian child that “God can defend Himself” because the adult child gets upset whenever anyone bashes the Father. This past week, Mae had to practice what she preaches. An individual, who was in a dangerous life threatening situation, texted Mae. Mae immediately went into prayer mode, even sending a prayer via text. When danger subsided, the individual texted Mae back, with an update. Mae responded with a thanks for the protection of Jesus. What happened next, floored Mae. The individual texted but implied there is no Jesus, sealing it with laughing emojis, along with some other ignorance. Mae did not find it funny and Mae’s flesh rose up. Oh Mae wanted to lash out but Mae was reminded of the words she echoes to her adult child, ” God can defend Himself.” May you know that at some point in life, we have to practice what we preach. In this case, Mae had to refrain from lashing out and remember her own words that “God can defend Himself.”
