Hello. I recently applied for membership to a Christian group. A copy of the bylaws was emailed to me. Before I could withdraw my membership request, I was approved. The next day, I declined membership because one of the bylaws was that members could only request prayer for self or other group members and there was a limit on that–really? Scripture states to pray for others (1 Timothy 2:1). There is also scripture that tells us to pray for those that mistreat us (Luke 6:28, Mathew 5:44). Okay, Mae likes to keep it real, so Mae will tell you that she struggles in this area but she’s making progress. Since we are keeping it real, how many of you only pray for yourself or your close inner circle? Jesus had a close inner circle, but He reached outside His circle. May we not only pray for ourselves and our inner circle, but reach outside of self and circle because MANY ARE IN NEED OF PRAYER. Until next time, Mae loves you but God loves you more.
